Love to eat?  Then you are in the right city!

Houston is full of amazing restaurants and dining experiences, here are some of our favorites:

Prego – Delicious neighborhood Italian restaurant with a great wine list.
Location:   2520 Amherst (In Rice Village) (713) 529-2420.

Hugo’s – wonderful regional Mexican food
Location: 1600 Westheimer (713) 524-7744.

Escalante’s Mexican Grille – excellent Tex-Mex food in a chic setting. In Highland Village.
Location:  4053 Westheimer. (713) 623-4200.

RDG + Bar Annie – Nationally acclaimed restaurant with beautiful, modern design. One of Deborah’s top two favorite restaurants (tied with Eddie V’s!).
Location:  1800 Post Oak (Just North of the Galleria) (713) 840-1111

Brennan’s of Houston – This landmark restaurant was recently rebuilt after burning down during Hurricane Ike in 2008. The restaurant has been beautifully rebuilt. Known for its Texas Creole cuisine, the Brennan’s family of New Orleans has been serving Houston for over 40 years. Be sure to order the Turtle Soup Au Sherry and Bananas Foster for dessert (first created at Brennan’s New Orleans).
Location:  3300 Smith Street. (713) 522-9711.

Churrasco’s – A South American-style restaurant that incorporates the flavors of Latin American cuisine and utilizes high-quality American ingredients. Signature items include the Churrasco, a charcoal-grilled center-cut beef tenderloin steak; Tres Leches dessert – vanilla cake laced with three sweet creams and topped with a light meringue and Cordua’s signature plantain chips and chimichurri are served on every table.
Location:  9705 Westheimer Rd (at Shepard) (713) 527-8300

La Griglia – Italian restaurant with festive décor.

Fuzzy’s Pizza – Good pizza and sandwiches, but they do not deliver.

Blueberry Hill – Real Frozen Yogurt. They only have a couple flavors but it’s delicious and healthy!
Location:  2700 West Alabama (at Kirby). (713) 526-2728.

Amy’s Ice Cream – Founded in Austin in 1894, this is Amy’s only location in Houston. Known for its inventive flavors (Pumpkin Pie, Girl Scout Thin Mint, Banana’s Foster, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Shiner Bock) , Amy’s brings the wacky “Keep Austin Weird” spirit to Houston.
